I found myself lying in a strange place as my heart crunched its deepest hole inside my chest. It’s like you’re lost in a wide expanse of a marsh; abandoned. You don’t know where to go. You cannot escape. You don’t know how long it would take as you carry the big hole in your heart that hurts like hell. You can’t even find an aid or a hand in the middle of nowhere. Nobody could hear the loudest scream in your head but yourself. You’re trying your best to find answers but you end up emotionally and physically tired and frustrated. You are depressed. You are hopeless. And literally dying from the inside out every single day.
Many of us have experienced trials that have seemed to trigger strings of other trials. Sometimes the level of pain you feel depends on the circumstance that you’re facing. It could be a loss of a job, death of a loved one, financial crisis, suffering an incurable disease, a broken heart, or you might feel abandoned as you fight battles in life. Nevertheless, I know that it falls to the same denominator — it hurts. It is merely an overwhelming feeling when no one cares about you, no one understands what you’re going through and no one is able to help you out. It is a real and excruciatingly painful feeling as you go along in your journey. THAT IS LIFE.
But even we encounter adversities, pain, hardships and abandonment, God’s unconditional love and presence is assured. He has shown and proved how much He loves us when He died on the cross. He already saved us two thousand years ago, what more on these tragedies that seem so small to Him? The Lord promises,
“Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; He won’t leave you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 (MSG)
“I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of age.”
Matthew 28:20 (MSG)
“YOU ARE NOT ALONE“. God promised us that He will always be right there wherever we go. So take heart and persevere as you fight your battle and for your calling. He will never falter in His commitment to His children. Even if we have been shattered with various trials, we can still find our confidence in Him because we know that nothing will be able to separate us from His love. Yes, LIFE MAY HURT us gazillion times but surely JESUS HEALS! So let faith arise within you! Our God is with us, our EMMANUEL!
