Maybe you’re a little distracted from a person’s animosity towards you or discouraged on things that are happening in your life right now or too occupied and worried with stuff at work, school, home or church. Such situations could possibly be a stumbling block that came up on your way. And that makes you feel weak and vulnerable. But I want to encourage you to move forward; even when it hurts, even when it’s hard.
Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
Let’s be reminded that we are called to serve a Great God not to serve people. We please God not the church’s congregation or people around your workplace. Let’s inject to ourselves that there are no such things as perfect – no perfect life, no perfect family, no perfect friends, no perfect leaders, no perfect bosses, no perfect pastors, no perfect church – that exist. We are chosen to be a bondservant of a one true Master, and that is Jesus Christ. So everything that we do, at school or home or workplace or church, is not a waste of time. Our labors in the Lord will never be in vain and we bring glory unto His name.
Yes, living our life could be very exhausting as we continuously run our own race and fight for what has been called for us to do. But today, let us throw off everything that hinders. Let’s surrender everything to Him! Not partial or just a half of any burden that we have right now, but to surrender wholeheartedly in the loving arms of our God.
Tell yourself “don’t quit now, quit tomorrow”. Then the next day, tell it once again on yourself until it becomes a habit and a daily routine. We might not understand what’s happening around us but just keep moving as we keep our eyes on Jesus! He promised,
“I am with you always, to the very end of age.”
Because He is and will always be, we have the amazing privilege of keeping our eyes on Him while He directs our lives. So, fight a good fight and together let’s finish the race!
